Success Through Inclusive Excellence
Trainings and Keynotes
Topics we cover
Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion: An invitation to Begin Your Journey
Participants are introduced to basic DEI concepts and discuss where they believe they are in their journey of intercultural competence, where they'd like to be, and what they need to continue to grow.
The Social Construction of Race and Historical Racism
To better understand "historically underserved/underrepresented" (or rather excluded), participants will learn about the social construction of race in the U.S.
Safe Zone Training
Participants will learn about concepts and ideas relevant to gender identity and sexual orientation. Upon completion, participants will have the option to receive a safe zone sticker to signal to LGBTQIA+ folks they are knowledgeable in this area and identify as allies.
Implicit / Unconscious Bias and Microaggressions
In this training, participants learn about the various ways implicit / unconscious bias can affect us in our work and daily lives. Conversely, we also discuss how microaggressions - often done unintentionally - cause harm to us and others around us.
